February 2026 Care & Clarity Update
February Reflection on Love as a Discipline ⚓️
THE SOIL CHECK 🌱
Greetings Family,
Culturally, February is the month of romance, roses, and sentiment. But here at Love Before ALL, we are interested in something deeper.
This month, I have been reflecting on the difference between love as a mood and love as a discipline. It is easy to be a loving leader/partner/friend when things are going your way. But what happens when the pressure hits? What happens when you are triggered, tired, or disrespected? That is where the "mood" of love evaporates, and the "strategy" of love must take over.
As we move into next month, I invite you to pause and check your soil. Are you waiting to feel compassionate before you act? Or are you willing to build the muscle required to override your survival patterns and choose care, even when it’s hard?
True connection isn't found in the easy moments; it is forged in the discipline of showing up when we’d rather shut down.

This Month’s Conversation: Annie Paraison on The Blueprint
We are officially live on February 28! In the inaugural episode of Talk to Me, I sat down (with myself!) to lay the foundation for this series and explore why relationships are not peripheral to the work.
I shared my own "Relationship Roots," honoring the educators and family members who taught me that love is a powerful lever for transformation.
💡The "Gold Nugget":
"Love is not simply a sentiment; it is the most powerful lever for permanent transformation. It is the key to optimizing personal, organizational, and community wellness."
If you are ready to get down to the human foundation of relationships and learn more about Love Before ALL, this conversation is for you.

🌍 GROWING THE ME & THE WE 🌍
We explored the neuroscience of discipline this month in our Love as a Strategy mini-series. Here are the key takeaways for your practice:
For Your Self (The ME): We tackled the "Amygdala Hijack" and learned how to Stop the Spiral.
Remember: You cannot be conscious if you are compelled. The pause gives you your brain back.
For Your Leadership (The WE): We dismantled the "Safe Apology" ("I'm sorry if...") and replaced it with The Art of the Apology. We learned that trust is actually built in the repair, not the perfection.

🎯 STRATEGY IN ACTION 🎯
The Practice: The Pattern Interrupt Protocol
How do we move from insight to embodiment? This month, try this LBA Strategy to operationalize love as a discipline:
Micro (Self): The 90-Second Pause. When you feel the physical "tell" of stress (tight chest, hot face), do nothing. Do not speak. Do not think. Buy yourself 90 seconds of silence to let the chemicals flush through your system.
Meso (Team): Operationalize the Repair. If a rupture happened this month, go back and fix it using the LBA Repair Framework:
State the Event (Facts)
Own the Impact (Empathy)
Re-Commit (Action)
